Before you even think about making this thing recline, its a rocking chair and then it has this really cool thing which is what the original chair did in 1927. Push it back and the seat moves. When you recline any of these other chairs, the back just falls away from the seat and it creates a big hole here, where your lumbar is going to be and your lumbar is a part of your back that needs more support. This is a rocking chair that has a reclining feature and this is a mechanism that has fabric com padding added to it so that you can sit on it.
La-Z-boy unlike every other chair in the market has virgin foam contour cut to shape this chair. Fibre is what fills the back pillow, the arms of every other chair in the market. This foam is not going to break down the way fibre does. So, we are going to flip this chair over and these chairs over and talk about what the differences are, to show you how this rocking chair works.

What i said earlier was this is a rocking chair made to recline and this is a mechanism made to be sat on. This is simply a rocking piece added to the mechanism. This la-z-boy original, all of the rocking portions are built into the frame and the reclining functionality here can be removed and its still a rocking chair. You couldn't remove any of this because your are taking something of the mechanism.

That's why they put the warranty on the chair because you can replace any single piece on this chair. If you damage this mechanism in any way, the chair is ruined because its really not a rocking chair, its a mechanism to sit on. You reck it its done, its game over for this chair. The real advantage for you is to get something that really lasts. You know its been passionately designed by these two cousins and they did this for 80 years and these guys know what they are doing.
