A Cool Caress, not an Air-Borne Assault
The Dyson Bladeless Fan solves the problem of conventional fans, whose exposed blades push ‘wodges’ of air at you, causing ‘buffeting’. By comparison, the Dyson fan design keeps its blades invisibly tucked away in the low centre of gravity base. Very Smart Design
The cylindrical circle or oblongis shaped on the inside to create a region of low pressure all the way round, when the air from the fan starts to flow over it. That draws in the higher pressure surrounding air from behind to make a much larger volume flow out in front – but evenly and without buffeting. The air multiplier feature uses a principle similar to that of the aircraft wing. But the main point of interest is that the fan only has to generate a small air flow itself to then get a much larger stream of air flowing towards you.
