Parineeti's waistcoat frenzy in Ishaqzaade rocked my socks off! Her character's edge was exemplified with her simplistic choice of wardrobe and minimal makeup in the movie. We're going to dissect the look in this post so that all you Zoya wannabe's out there can get her edge without the effort.
Wardrobe
Waistcoat: Zoya's statement style is her black waistcoat. The touch of ethnic kurtas with a hint of western makes her stand out with confidence. If you don't own a waistcoast, try to steal one off your father or your brother. Get it altered and pair it up with a simple kurta. For a much bolder look, pair the waistcoast with a brightly coloured kurta, shiny kohlapuris and get yourself noticed!
Hair: Parineeti's character wore a simple braid that we all were made to do in school. Braids are a classic hairstyle that don't get credited quite enough. Adorn your braid with some funky hair ties or tic tac clips to own the look. If you have short hair, fear not. Buy a funky hairband and pair it up for a fresher look.
Make Up
Parineeti wore minimalistic makeup in the movie so it's really easy to replicate
Wear a dash of concealer to hide the pigmentation and dark circles
Softly dab pink tinted lip shade onto your lips for a natural glossy pout
Wear kajal and with a help of a q-tip, smudge it across the lower and upper lid to give a semi-smokey look
Apply a lash thickening mascara to complete the look
Happy Zoya day out, ladies!
